Stuck at step 6

    after going through the first five steps of "READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support" i now cannot connect to the net to do step 6. i was able to connect before step 5. please advise. thanks

    system is a Dell Diminsion 4600c, windows xp home

    ok, i fixed the net problem by restoring defaults. i will post again if further help is needed.
