This will be a good reason to play more video games.

Good for their eyes, bad for their brains.

I bet they didnt take strain from the monitor into factor.

 

Well, hopefully once LCD monitors saturate the market, the damage will be mitigated.

And, it's not so bad for your brains, they are also encouraging seniors to play video games to combat alzheimers.

 

I find that if I look at a monitor long enough I become pretty shortsighted until I blur/relax my eyes for a minute or so. I wonder what the average distance between the eyes and the monitor was. Quite some time ago when I used a CRT monitor I read that the eyes should be at least two feet from the monitor. I don't know what the "rule" is for LCDs, though.

 

Remember ze 20/20/20 rule!

Every 20 minutes look at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds!

I love my PS2, X-Box, PSP, so that means my parents will be forced to buy me the newer systems. *evil smile*
