Stupid Program

    So lets say a friend of mine installed a program on my computer with his serial number on it, and I now want to install my serial number on it but if I uninstall the program it retains the serial information when you reinstall. Where is this in the registry? I ran reg cleaner, didn't help.

    Not sure where in the registry it may be, but I'd think a good reg cleaner should be able to wipe it. It's also possible the uninstall left some basic (mostly empty) folders on your hard drive, and the serial number may be in a file there.
