Stupid Style XP!!

OK... since i had this program... style XP (a program that allows you do change your styles in XP... like colors, icons etc) i had a bunch of problems... so i uninstalled it... problems since to be gone. BUT some of those stupid cons stayed here... I change my style to the original WindowsXP... but the next day they changed again to the same style xp ones!!! so i went to "my computer"-->programs. and find out there was a TGTsoft paste... so i got rid of it... after i tryed to login with my other user acount... it asked for a password... damn... i got rid of the files that are important... because style xp also lets you change your logon screen... so i went to my recycle been icon and put everything in the same place... has we know, the icons are still the same... theres a file in the control panel called "Themexp.org File" should i get rid of it? will it mess up my computer again? what should i do?

 

i've had themexp.org in my computer before, uninstalled it and it ruined my login! it was a simpsons whole computer theme(change the welcome scream to a french simpsons??!!!) and i uninstalled it and the theme wouldn't go away! so i installed it and then just disabled it in one of the settings and it was fine.
i then promptly did a system restore! have you got a restore point since you first installed themexp.org?

 

I had the exact some problem a while back. I fixed it by just downloading a free trial (believe me, since u wont need it after u get rid of the icons) of a program like style xp that can change the icons. Then you click "set to originally" someplace inside that program and it will set the windows xp icons back to normal. then you can uninstall that trial and it will stay.

also, it might be an idea to make sure that there is a restore point before using this, it says on the site, but i'm just emphasising how important it is!

Style xp wont let you donwload and install another trial if you have already. Just use anything, check out some of the stuff on the mg homepage under appearance.

 

You should of made a backup....

I myself use stylexp...and when you made some changes it told you "are u sure you wannna continue, this will edit your original login.uni create a backup before you continue" or what eve your changing....And you didn't listend, now that you want it out of there it mess up your whole system...but you knew it was going to happend....


SO LET THIS BE A LESSON, ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR COMPUTER WHEN YOUR CHANGING ANYTHING....
