StyleXP Uninstall Problems.

I finally got XP and immediately wanted to play around with Skins. I downloaded StyleXP, loaded it, and downloaded a skin for it. Then I wanted to try something else, so I switched off StyleXP and just decided to uninstall it. First problem: When I switched off StyleXP, it put the (I'm assuming) default WinXP "Rolling Hills" wallpaper rather than the Dell wallpaper my laptop came loaded with. Then, after uninstalling the program, I went into "Pointers" under Mouse Properties and received the Error:

"The C:\Windows\system32\Windows default file, which contains the 'Normal Select' cursor is either missing or corrupt"

Followed by a slew of errors all pointing to the same missing file. Frustrating of course. I'm assuming StyleXP modified, moved, or deleted the file and didn't fix it upon being uninstalled.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem?

 

Ah-ha! Thanks much for the reply. I even re-installed XP to try to fix it (thankfully didn't format anything tho!). I'm actually using a Dell D600 laptop with a touchpad and not an MS Mouse though. I just used it right out of the box with whatever drivers it may have come with. That's so odd; how are mice and the visual mouse pointers related? (aside from the obvious of course). What a strange bug. Well, good to know it's just a harmless little error.
