Suddenly cannot download anything

Hi, I am writing about my work computer which now will not download anything as it sees everything as a virus. This started Friday morning, just after a windows update & an automatic AVG update. I followed the instructions in the malware removal guide this morning (I had to download the programs at home & transfer them to this computer via a jump drive since I couldn't download them directly), but it does not seem to help. On Friday, I attempted to uninstall AVG (although Windows is telling me that AVG is reporting that it's turned off, so it must still be here somewhere), and I went back to a system restore point from Thursday afternoon, before I had any problems, but neither these or running the guide have resolved the problem. I am attaching the logs & am going to install Avira free (I had it at home & don't want to leave the computer with no antivirus), and would love any help you can give me. This is a very tiny business and there is no IT department or anyone here who would know what to do.
    Thank you.

Rerun Hitman and have it delete Potential Unwanted Programs and Malware remnants.

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Uninstall avg if you have not already, install avira, and then: Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista or Windows7) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

Good morning! Thank you for your help. Here are the 2 logs. After I ran the JRT, my computer would not connect to the internet. I restarted, and it reconnected with no problems. However, I forgot to re-disable Avira before running MGTools' Getlogs.bat, so after it told me access was denied, I disabled Avira & re-ran Getlogs.bat. Sorry.

After all that, I turned Avira back on, and as a test, attempted to save the major geeks logo. Success! So I think all is well. Thank you, again.

...just for future, do you know what may have caused the problem? I'd hate to do this again inadvertently.

You have two antivirus installed according to your logs now, uninstall avg! :)

Any of what was removed could have caused the downloading issue.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Press and hold the Windows key http://forums.majorgeeks.com/chaslang/images/Windows_Logo_key.gif and then press the letter R on your keyboard. This opens the Run dialog box.
      • Copy and paste the below into the Run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    5. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove, you can delete these files now.
    8. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thank you so much, again. I had uninstalled AVG (or so I thought) before installing Avira, but apparently it is a challenge to completely uninstall. I found an "AVG Uninstall" program on the AVG site and have run that, so hopefully it is gone for good!

Everything seems to be working well now; I just wanted to thank you again for your help. Have a great weekend.
