Sugestions for problem posted in Malware forum

G'day.
I saw a post by jenandlaw in the forum (http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=212775) and I have some suggestions. I know that those who can post here is limited to a few people, and for good reason, but I am wondering if sometimes, such as here, there might be some benefit in allowing others to make suggestions, particularly where those suggestions do not relate to malware. For example, the problem that jenandlaw has might be simply one of changing file extensions, and it wouldn't hurt for jenandlaw to check that.
One possibility might be to have posts vetted before being accepted - although I can see that that might just make a lot more work for you.
Anyway, just thought I'd run it up the flagpole...

We usually just refer people to software if they are having non malware issues, which is what I will be doing if I cannot see that combofix or any of the other scans that were run was the cause. Then once they're in the software forum, they're all yours!
