Suggest A Gmail Alternative For Android 12?

hi gang, got my first new phone in 8 years and the only email app on it is gmail, which i don't want to us for most of my email accounts (which are @sonic.net)

looking for a (free) app that can handle multiple IMAP accounts from different providers, isn't too fancy, and is pretty secure, from a reputable developer, which will actually d/l emails onto my phone, not just store them in the 'cloud'.

...the phone is a Moto Edge 5G UW, on verizon.

Any recommendations, comments?
