Suggestion

I'm not aware of this being brought up before or not, but i think we should have a "Great Deals Forum" It could be a place where MG members could post links to good deal they found. They can range anywhere from cheep software, to bargins on Hardware, and other peripherals . This gives the other members a chance to take advantage of these great deals too.

As a second option, we could modify our "Buy, Sell, Trade" Thread to include deals as well.

Honestly I think it would be superfluous to have something like that. It would pretty much defeat the purpose of the MG Store (found on the front page under "Geek Shopping"). Also, if you're looking for good deals on the net, there's already a site devoted to it called http://www.pricewatch.com/.

Also don't foget about site like http://www.slickdeals.net and http://www.dealnews.com. Both sites have daily (often hourly) updates with some really great deals.

I have an idea. I got the idea reading his thread. There should be a forum for posts that go unanswered. If a new thread doesn't get it's FIRST answer after about 5 days or so it should be put in the "Unanswered Threads Forum". This will be so people don't have to "bump" a thread back up to the top of the list. It will get more exposure and more likely to be answered.

I see some posts that people forget about that are located on like page 5 or 6 that are about 5 days old. People forget about them cause' they only look at the first page or 2.

I know it might be a hassle to weed out these posts and move them, but it might work. What do you think?

 

Well generally if a thread doesn't get answered its for a reason. And usually if it goes un-noticed that makes the poster think about why its not got any responses, and adds some more detail (well I do usually anyway )

 

and a harmless bump every now and then isn't a big problem. its when pepole bump their posts after like 20 minutes for the next 6 hours that it gets to be annoying.

 

NN, I see very few posts bumped on MG. Nearly all get a quick answer. Baz
