for my music list on my Moto E. Here is the info on my phone & laptop, and also, I already have my playlist on my Windows Media Player, but I can't figure out how to get that list onto my phone.

I need my playlist to be without commercials because I am using it for a dance class. I hope this makes sense. The songs I've saved to WMP are songs I took on youtube, and converted them to audio files/mp3 with an online program called YT mp3, just youtube to mp3.

Forgot to thank anyone in advance, for any help you might have for me:)

    Hello Eldon,

no, I hadn't heard or seen that app in my searches. I saw so many in my searches, that I decided to see if someone had used something that worked well, and here you are!! Ok, I'll take a look at it.

This stereo system deal, hooking to my phone is totally new to me, so I hope it's not going to compromise my phone. I mean it's so little to operate a large stereo/speakers. Dynamite does come in small packages nowadays, so I figure that is why it was suggested I use my phone for playing music in the dance area of the gym.

If you're still using it then it must work great:) Thank you much for the info. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm sure glad I don't have to make a whole, new playlist with this app;)

    Hi again Eldon

The first or top download for that app is broken, at least it didn't work for me, the 2nd (bottom) link worked. Can't wait to try this out;)

Oh oh, Nurse!! Don't leave me Eldon, I read two, sets of directions for downloading my playlist, and I am not sure about either one.

How do you download it to Winamp? I saw some instruction on saving the Mp3 files to or copying them to notepad, and changing the code so it fits to winamp. My knees are shaking. I've done some things like this, but not lately, and want to make sure which directions to go with, or maybe new and easier direction from you;) Here are the two sets I found so far:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/unpartitioning-wmp-playlist-help.171241/#post-1222305

I changed my mind about putting this other link. I got hit with a lot of ads, and it wasn't a majorgeek page.

I'm now finding plugins that may do the trick Eldon, at your download page.

Ok, I'm seeing the plugin pack, but have to have 5.16 I think was the version, and all I got here was 1.4.15. Looking now for a later version I can update to;)

If anyone wants to jump in and help, I welcome it

Sorry, I didn't get here in time to "edit" the above message but I found the later version of winamp. It is here on MG's, yes!! Now I can use that, and get the plugin pack that is here. ty much, couldn't have gotten this far without your help;)

Ok, now I did check to see if 5.666 is in Google Playstore, it's not. So I did get it downloaded from MG's. But my phone asks me what I want to use to install the program, and the two things it offers won't work for some reason. Now it just says "can't open" when I try to install it.

Oh heartaches, LOL!! Ok, here's the latest as short and sweet as I can get it.

I looked for options to sync Windows Media Player playlist w/Media Player I installed on my Moto E. I need to do it wirelessly, so I searched for that.

I then found something called Mobisynapse, but then after downloading that, I had to also download MOffice which is some sort of task manager. It wants me to put in my wifi "key", and I got nervous. So I won't do that until I talk to someone. This is really a mess, and I am wondering if there isn't an easier way. Make a new playlist right on my phone would have taken less time, but I want to know how to sync, because it will be easier to work on my laptop, for me anyway, I mean to get new songs.

    Help:)

Ok, after all that, I realized I can get a usb cord that fits my phone, for about 5 bucks, done:) Thanks anyway;)

    Sorry for the confusion.
I thought the Windows Media Player playlists are on your PC. Those WPL files you can import to Winamp 5.666 which is for Windows, and then sync them to Winamp for Android (on your phone).
I have played my PC through a Hi-Fi for about 10 years and I could do the same with my phone - but I don't know if there will be any unwanted long-term effects.

FYI A friend owns a dance studio. She edits/orginizes all her music on a laptop and then hooks it up to a stereo amp and speakers.

I don't know what all I did wrong, or read wrong, but the easy fix was buying a cord for under 5 bucks. I ended up with the Media Player on Playstore on my phone. I know what you're saying would work because myfitnesspal input syncs just fine with my laptop site for mfp.

Oh well, maybe when I have more energy I still try and get it to sink because then when I add a new song on my WMP on my laptop, it will sync with my phone like you are saying:)

Thanks and no problem, we can't spend all our time on forums, or atleast I sure try not to;) Thus the tunes, for my gym workouts;) ttyl, and thank you again Eldon, Denise

It's good to know you found an easy and affordable solution.

BTW The cable I made up for my PC > Hi-Fi cost about $2.

Oh, I just realized when I re-read your first post today Eldon. Yes, my Windows Media Player is on my computer/laptop, Win7. But when I clicked on it to sync, it said I had to sync it using the USB. I didn't see anything else that would tell me to just pull it together by Wifi. Am I understanding you correctly? I had tried getting the right version of Winamp, and did if I remember right, but then I was told I had to add yet another program. It's all above.

I'm just kind of dingy tonight as I moved a lot of furniture today, just arranging things here.

Ok, I'm losing my marble, all my playlist has suddenly appeared on my phone. I synced WMP with MP app, not Winamp, but somehow, I think, Winamp just synced with my WMP. If that's what happened, I am a total idiot:(

I don't know where Windows Media Player would sync the files to on an Android phone, that's why I suggested Winamp.
Syncing playlists from Winamp on your laptop to Winamp on your phone would be ideal.
And you can do so much more with Winamp than Windows Media Player.

This you install on your laptop.

Looking at the screenshot, Winamp supports USB & Wi-Fi.

Oh geez, I totally misunderstood. I see that Winamp is for the laptop as well as the phone. Im so sorry I didn't get that:( I haven't looked into Winamp for my laptop at all.

Ok, I think I am losing my marble Eldon, I don't know what to say except apologies. I'm gonna go eat some dinner now. Denise

Denise, yesterday I downloaded and installed Winamp on my smartphone. I tried to sync the songs and Winmap on my PC froze! I had to kill it with Task Manager.
I then used Windows Media Player 12... and wham! All the songs were synced to Winamp on my phone. :D
20 songs (a test) took less than a minute.

You win some... you loose some.

FYI I connected my phone to PC with a good ol' USB cable.

OH no, I just deleted Media Player on my phone, no biggie. But I did install the Winamp on my laptop, and was "just now" making a new playlist to sync, Oh well. We'll figure this out and have the info all up to date hey!! We can look at it as a positive;) Are you game for that;) denise

I hadn't tried to sync with my phone app of winamp, but somehow, it did get some songs on it. Same ones I had on the WMP, but that had to come by, I think anyway, the cord/usb connection. Oh help, I'm confused and going to start from scratch, LOL!!

I have no idea what is going on, I'm so confused. On my phones Winamp, ALL my songs are there. And I haven't had Winamp on my computer long enough to get the remainder of those songs on it. The only FULL playlists I have on my desktop are on WMP, omg, I'm slipping into the Twighlight Zone:eek::cool:

Denise, this is a little new to me.
I use my phone to make calls, send messages, and take photos!
But, if there's a problem/challenge, I will try to fix it. I jumped in to help you, and I'm not going anywhere until we solve the problem.

Continue to use Windows Media Player to sync files to Winamp on your phone - it seems to work flawlessly.
And I can't find Winamp's equalizer on my phone!

Please pardon my late replies.

Yes, I've got Winamp downloaded on my laptop, but haven't figured it out anyway. If I have time today, I am going to try a second playlist ( I mean using WMA on laptop), and take the old one off the phone, and put the new one on (on Winamp android). The Media Player worked as well, but only with the USB, no wifi sync. Just to see if it all works easy for me:)

No worries on getting back here in a hurry. I have music I can use on my phone, so I am set, just want to tweak it ya know;) Your help is very welcome, and I appreciate you trying to help;) denise

PS busy picking songs off Pandora today. Then I go to youtube, convert the video to audio (mp3) then that makes up my playlist;)
