You have to select the "Lite" installer on our download page.

That'll be a no then, and the update offer is just yet another attempt to foist a whole load of third party rubbish onto our computers. It's a pity, as the Lite version is a very useful program.

As you know I have been a great fan of your work over the years, can you not have the updater work out what version is used and when an update is released just update with like for like? would be a huge plus for tech users and gain you some credits for doing so in the community.

360 Total Security Essential has replaced 360 Internet Security.
The Essential version has a different version number from the full version, 360 Total Security.

I added the file QHVer.dll to the SUMo check list, from the Essential installation folder, which has the current version number embedded.
I hope this works out as a way to check for available update.

The full version, 360 Total Security, includes Full Check, Speed Up and Cleanup features which are omitted from the Essential version.

As you can see the main change is that SUMo now updates itself automatically on top of long lasting feature request such as "custom locations" to be added to the scan list.

The "self update" require a "SUMo PRO" licence, but the rest of the product remains totally free, like in v3.x versions. This is just a "premium" time saving feature for registered users.

This version comes with many fixes & improvement, so as usual, your feedback is welcome !
