Solaris has been around for a long time.

I have heard that Solaris, when running on the UltraSparc architecture, is about one of the best computering environments around.

But, I have also heard that the port of Solaris to the X86 arch is really
slow... (nicknamed "Slowlaris" hehe). Whether its true, I can't say.

One thing I know. I work at an company that runs the Solaris on UltraSparc.

It won't crash. You couldn't get much more stable, what the guys say.
