i had a rogue spyware on my computer--sypgaurd 2008 or spyware gaurd 2008-i went through your steps for the cleaning-i ran superantispyware and it found the bad guys and when it asked to reboot i said yes--this was the last time my computer worked! up comes the dell screen with the f1 and f2 options in the upper right corner-then a screen that apologizes for the inconvenience -i attached the screen shot for you to see-i cant move the cursor up or down and it counts down then goes back the the windows xp screen then to a blue screen for less than a second-it has text on it but i have no idea what it ways-then back to the apologize for the inconvenience page
what the heck happened? any help would be most appreciated

What happened is the INFECTION damaged your system, not SUPERAntiSpyware - so you really should revise the title of the thread. Many infections can cause harm to systems and damange critical system files.

SUPERAntiSpyware will not, and can not, remove any Windows System files - we specifically guard against that.

all i know is that the computer worked fine except for the annoying fake spyware removal that kept popping up-i ran the super antispyware(per the instructions on this website) and when it went to restart it wouldnt and still wont come back online. If anyone can help me get it back working I would appreciate it.

Does you system boot into safe mode, or last know good config?

If not you can try running repair off you xp cd. Boot off the CD and when it gets to the "setup uup part" hit Enter, NOT "r". Agree to the lic., then choose the OS you want to repair.

That should get you back to the point where you can start cleaning again.

Also SUPERAntispyware is not the culprit here, it is Spywareguard 2008. That's like blaming the doctor for you having to have your gall bladder removed..

    unexpected results after superantispyware

I cant move the cursor at all when it starts up and then it just loops.
As for the disc-I doubt i have that, but will look.

I am more than happy to change the thread name -it certainly was an unexpected result-not one i would have signed up for!

The mouse will not work at that part of the screen, you use your arrow keys to navigate.
