I have recently started using SuperAntispyware (paid version) as recommended by MajorGeeks. It seems to be using a whole lot of memory and machine is running slow. At one point the task manager showed it using over 300,000kb.

Has anyone else had a problem with this? Are there any particular preferences I should change to keep it from hogging so much memory? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Personally, when running a scan, I'll start it, go get a cup of coffee and forget about it until it is finished.

Hm Its a very good tool (at the top of list for many). Another thing is it could be your computer and amount of RAM you have. Like suggested just chill while it scans.

another thing to check on is the type of scan being run: quick or full. I ran a full once and the comp was locked for over 12 hours lol. if you set a schedule for it set it for when you're not on the comp anyway. for me thats around noon, most folks the wee hours.
