I have one wall outlet but with a PC, a monitor, a printer, a phone and a router I need a few surge suppressor receptacles to plug into if not for protection but for electricity.
Mine are over 10 years old and I am wondering if I should buy a new one to accommodate the needs of my equipment. I have a lag getting on internet with ethernet but not WIFI and maybe this would fix that lag.

You'd do better getting an UPS (uninterruptible power supply) instead of a surge suppressor. This will give you enough electricity to smoothly power down the computer, monitor and printer.
My UPS gives power to my modem and router for over 3 hours so I can use the internet on 2 laptops and 2 android tablets.

I chose one (my 3rd unit) because of the number of plugs.

    Search for a lower price.

I failed to mention, this unit has 7 surge protected outlets. Of the 7, 5 of these are also protected by the battery. If the power goes out, they will continue to function for a short period of time. The fewer items you have on, the longer the battery will continue to power them.

The answer was too much load on one receptacle and now get 600 Mbps.

I had my gateway replaced and that was he final solution. I now get the 600 Mbps I was supposed to get.

    A struggle but worth it.

If you have a laser printer, don't plug it in the UPS.
