    I had a threat removed a couple of weeks ago by AVG, but there's not a record of it in the virus vault.

    I ran the Malware removal steps and uploaded the logs:

    Thanks.

    I am not finding any malware in your logs. What issues are you having?

    Since AVG reported a virus threat, my computer seems to be slower, pages don't load correctly..

    A slow computer is not always due to malware:

    Please explain what operations are slow! For example answer the below:

    * Is boot up slow?
    * Is shutdown slow?
    * Is browsing/surfing slow?
    * Is downloading slow?
    * Is running any application?
    * Is it also slow in safe boot mode?
    * Also are any process showing in Task Manager to be using a lot of CPU time?
    * Anything else slow?

    Nearly all that you've mentioned are slow... boot-up,browsing/surfing, downloading,running any application?

    Snap of running processes:
    Firefox and Malwarebytes are the two major memory hogs 300,000+ and 100,000+ respectively. There's also a plugin-in container.exe file that's using 50,000+ memory. I start out on average with 40 + processes at startup...

    I guess I can live with it, I'm thankful for not having any virus issues.

    Thanks for the help.

    Since I was not finding any malware in your logs, I suggest you post in the software forum for additional assistance.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

    Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
    Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
