svchqs.exe tracing

    My friend and a couple other people i know have been attacked by this and they have had thier World of Warcraft accounts hacked and stolen. While the blizzard hq is trying (so they say), i want to find out how this works and find who is doing it.

    My first thing is, where can i find the log file and find out where it was sending this info. Alot of people on the forums have been hit with it, so its definitly the same guy.

    also, any way on how to permanatly remove it? its definitly a keylogger as it got his password and account and stuff.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

    Finding out information like that on these kinds of programs can be more difficult then you think. You would have to use quite a few special tools and you would have to be an expert with PCs. We cannot offer help/training in this area because we are just to busy to spend the amount of time it would take to educate people on tools, IP protocal, Windows,....etc.

    Having proper protection place can go along way towards avoiding problems like this.
