Use whichever drive is the fastest (RPM's), as the master, rather than using it as a slave. Use the other to store your backups and less used stuff on. Partition your fastest drive ( I am assuming it will be the 120gig drive), into 2 or more partitions. Include all your M$ stuff on the primary partition. All your other stuff on the other partition/s. Then if you have to reinstall/restore/reformat your Windows partition, the rest of your stuff is safe. Bazza

hmmm well seems like it wont even detect my other hd hoked in as the slave. i looked at the program u posted and says its a 15 day trial. does that mean i can only use the prog for 15 days or does it mean if i mirror my smaller drive to put on the big one that after 15 days everything i mirrored onto it wont work ??? confused about that part

The program itself is trial-ed for 15 days.

Also, did you set the drive as slave via the hdd jumper?

You are probably correct. Touch wood, I haven't had to do this. You will have lost your registry but at least you will still have all your data, photos, music, documents, etc.
