Sword Cursor Software..?

    I am trying to get me a sword cursor.. a red metallic spinning mini-cutlass...

    I find that the reated downloads are full of malwares.. like the c'mon chunk of meat in the bear trap... like swallowing a "magog" egg...

    I've got their downloads on the desktop, but I want to clean them up before I install anything... Will F-prot Win AVS, and Spybot, do a perfect cleanup job..? or is there more to do to make a dirdy download clean?..

    You can scan the zip or archive file with your AV, and clean up any added malware components that maybe added, but are you sure the main .exe is free from malware, many known bundled cursors etc have the main .exe loaded with malware that installs when the cursors do.

    TBH, I wouldnt chance it myself.

    That's good enough for me... I am about to delete those probable dirdy downloads...

    If you ever hear of a clean "sword cursor" download, please let me know...

    Is there a software that can detect all the malwares in a download, even if it can't clean it?..

    So what you're looking for is a Sword icon theme? I will keep an eye out but I woudl also suggest you post a new thread in the software forum asking if anyone knows of a malware free Sword Icon Theme for your Windows version.

    Your Antivirus software should scan archives as in Zip files for known malware and virii etc but sometimes they just dont know all the malwares arround so you can setup a custom scan with A-squared to scan archives.

    However as I mentioned if the original main executable is or has been tampered with they maybe missed as the setup.exe will look legit until you run it and who knows what maybe installed.

    ...and when you find yourself skidding sideways.. you try the steering.. it does nothing.. you try the brakes.. it does nothing.. so you slam the accellerator, denting the firewall.. and things only get better...
