sygate personal firewall

    Hi,

    I just followed the directions on how to protect against spyware. I downloaded sygate personal firewall and now every few minutes it pops up and says that 'NT kernel and System' is trying to access my computer.

    Also there is constant warnings about dll's from internet explorer.

    What should i do.

    It does not need to have internet access. Just deny it and tell it to always do the same thing.

    What DLL's are you referring to? Be specific?

    Hi,

    I double clicked on the sygate icon. In applications i right clicked on 'NT Kernel & System' then clicked block.

    I still get it popping up saying it is trying to access the network.

    As with the dll's i disable the feature 'enable DSL Notification; in tools>options>security. Is that ok?

    That should work! When it pops up did you put a check in the box that says
    I do not know what you are referring to! I don't know what 'enable DSL Notification' is. Did you mean Enable DLL Authentication? If so, the default setting (the way it installs) is to leave that unchecked. So you did not make any change to anything.

    And I repeat my question again that you have not answered:

    Hi,

    Yeah sorry i had Enable DLL Authentication checked now its unchecked its ok.

    With NT Kernel a little blue window keeps popping up at the bottom right of screen. There is a little box that i check that says 'do not show this window again' but it keeps popping up.
