Symantec incorrectly flags Yahoo Mail as a virus

    Best one I've heard all day..... if you have Yahoooooo and Sillymantec do be careful what you delete!

    Yikes . . . leave it to the Norton folks. I used to love their antivirus - I used it starting in 1997 with my first PC, and continued on untill the program got bloated and started using too many system resources, and they started charging way too much for subscriptions - I think I bailed the year before they started the "activation" scheme that XP uses.

    Sillymantec is right!! :)

    They like McAfee were superb in around the time you mention up until they decided to laoad their apps with all the security options they could get their hands on then they became a burden on PC systems, their Enterprise or Corporate solutions still tend to be really good as they are not 10 in 1 apps!


    I dumped McAfee Enterprise when my supscription from previous employeer ran out, sad as it was great, but never looked back since Avast.


    I posted this as it goes to show, its not only Microsoft that mess up... they all do.

    Yep, also used Mcafee in the old days until you know what (and finding Majorgeeks)....false positive heaven!
