Synology Dsm

I'm currently unable to start the DSM for my Synology DS216j in my desktop browser. I'm still able to transfer files just by drag and drop, and can access the files from my phone using DS Audio, DS Finder etc. When I try to start DSM either through the Synology Assistant or browser history I get an error message about a handshake failure. Anyone able to help?

 

Clear and reset the browser? Try another browser? Try private mode?

 

I was using Pale Moon and it had been working. I've now used Edge and had a message that there is a security issue but it gave me the option to go ahead, which I did. I've now updated DSM but still having the same issue with Pale Moon. The error report mentions SSL. Is there likely to be something I've switched that I shouldn't have? The NAS is wired to my router but the desktop is WiFi.

 

Sounds like you need to accept the Synology Certificate.

Thanks for the link, I'll try it. I had set up a fixed IP but again, I had been able to access the DSM until the last couple of days. The explanation does fit with what has been happening. Thanks.

 

Ok, so you can't find it on the network? You tried to static the IP (

?

 

There's been no problem finding it on the network. I can transfer and access files, see folders I've created. The only change was the DSM not opening.

 

Back to the original, try a different browser, FireFox or Chrome?
