    Greetings. I've frequented these forums for years but never made an account. Id first like to say thanks for all previous and future help. You guys rock hard!

    My friend linked me to a malicious website the other day and my computer became infected. I was aware immediately and tried to fix the problems but it has gone beyond my abilities. It seemed the biggest problem was sysnotifier.exe. Also, my system recovery information was contaminated by the virus, but i believe the READ & RUN ME took care of that.

    I have done everything in the READ & RUN ME FIRST exactly as you guys asked. It took quite a while and it did fix some of the problems, but not all of them. It seems there remains malware on my computer that traditional programs cannot remove.

    Here are the logs, including hijack this.

    Thank you kindly in advance for your help.

    You should create a new user account as it is not a good idea to be running from the admin account.

    I would also suggest that you remove everything from the "trusted zone":
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.antimalwareguard.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.gomyhit.com

    Now:

    Run this: Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    * Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    * If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    * Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    File::
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\pidle
    c:\windows\system32\prnet.tmp
    c:\windows\system32\hagotama.exe
    c:\windows\system32\mururawo.dll.vir
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\.119889580931711767808769176
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{CB3284F7-5A36-4936-A6F3-4AEA51969194}\chrome\content\"
    overlay.xul

    Folder::
    c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\pidle

    * Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    * At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    * You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    If it asks you to overide the prvevious file with the same name, click YES.
    * Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif
    * Follow the prompts.
    * When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now download and install:
    Java Runtime 6

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat[/b] file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\ComboFix.txt
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

    Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    I love you in one of the few ways a heterosexual gamer can love another man in an online environment. I will honor your deed with many headshots in your name.

    For some reason my firefox still loads websites slow, but chrome is fine. This was the case before your fixes, and its still the same now, but no where near as bad. Is it possible i have lingering malware? My browsers certainly had no problem before.

    Here are the requested logs. Thank you very much.

    The use of a proxy may be slowing you down.

    Please use windows explorer to find and delete;
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\netiride
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{CB3284F7-5A36-4936-A6F3-4AEA51969194}\chrome\content\overlay.xul

    Run CCleaner.

    Now to be sure we have it all, run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it.
