    Hello.

I have had my browser taken over (to a degree) by a program called SysProtect. It regularly sends my browser to its download page. I haven't downloaded anything from the redirected page, but I'd like to stop this major annoyance.

I did everything in "Read and Run Me First" except for the web scans; the first didn't work due to my lack of service pack 2, and the second due to a computer lock up. Spybot and Ad-Aware found about 3 dozen infected files between them and fixed those, but I still definately have the SysProtect bug, and it seems like there may be a few others on there too.

My HijackThis log is attached; I would love any help I could get to fix this problem.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Your statement above makes no sense. You are already running Win XP SP2 and your log indicates you did not even start the online scanners. Please run them and attach the requested. logs.

Sysprotect is normally something you selected to download and install.
