Hey y'all, I spent about 2 hours this afternoon trying to clean out my system of malware, following all the instructions on this site. I got as far as downloading all the cleaning tools recommended, and as the SuperAntiSpyWare was racking up the trojans (I had 17), my system crashed again. At this point I do not know what to do to clean this system, and each time I download something new or change something, my system becomes more out of wack and unstable. Do I need to give up and take this in to a doctor, or is there any advice to offer beyond what I've read here? Any info is appreciated!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

We cannot help you if you don't run all of the READ & RUN ME and attach the logs so we can determine what is wrong. So it's your choice. Do the below or format and reinstall or pay someone to fix it for you.

So if you want our help, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
