System Errors

Hello:

I have tried almost everything I can think of by I just can get rid of the critcal system error pop ups.

Whats happen: Downloaded an active x control.
Afterward. There was a flashing x in a stop sign. CONSTANT windows security alerts and crital systsm error that redirect me to this site "http://scanner.adwareremover2007.com/2/scan.php?id=1216"

Also 3 icons keep getting downloaded to my desk top "error cleaner" "spyware&malware protection" and "privacy protector"

Finally. By home page is now "http://softwarereferral.com/jump.php?wmid=6010&mid=MjI6Ojg5&lid=2"

PLEASE HELP!! - my computer has a lot of work on it that I cannot lose so I cannot do a system restore.
