System File error

    Hi all,

    getting message on start up win 98 - System File Error
    "A program you recently ran replaced system files with older versions etc. windows cannot automatically repair restart so windows can repair"

    Commctrl.dll
    Lzexpand.dll

    Of course windows cannot repair. Also this error message appears when I have been trying to install latest Java plug ins too. Thanks in advance for any help,

    Have you been using a registry cleaner lately?
    Might be a repair install old chap.

    System restore or last known good config may help!
