System gets slower as I use it more or time passes

I am running Windows XP on a 2.4Ghz machine with 768MB Ram.

After I start up my system, it's running OK, but after I'm using it for a while, the more I use it, the slower it gets. Sometimes, when it's closing a window, it seems to crawl as I can see it writing over pixel row by pixel row. Switching applications takes forever, and general response is extremely slow.

If I just startup my PC, and leave it alone for the night, when I get up in the morning, it's going slow.

I've run Norton Antivirus, Spybot, and AdAware and have found nothing that seems to be causing this.

I ran hijackthis and went thru everything in the tutorial, but fixing the things that I didn't recognize didn't seem to help either.

I'm attaching my hijackthis log with hope of someone being able to help.

Your HJT log doesnt show you ran all of the online scans, please follow the steps below:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
