System Mechanic 6 Redux

Hi all. I read with interest and took part in the earlier thread about SM6. Assuming one uses their OS's own check disk and defragmenter, and CCleaner, what else does SM6 do that would need to be replaced to remove SM6 and still be able to do all that SM6 does? I'm still using Windows ME and don't have a separate registry tool. As always, thanks for the advice.

 

I see by my records that I deinstalled System Mechanic 4 back in 2004 with a cryptic note that it was 'riddled with spyware' With no memory of the event but that observation, I would deinstall the 6 version. As to a replacement - I use Regseeker available here at MG which with Crapcleaner seems to keep me from harms way.
