   Is there any reason a system restore will fail? Or a way to find out? I have tried several different system restore checkpoints, and it goes through the process of restarting the computer and everything, but upon restart it always says it failed. Is there a way to fix this?

   Some reasons for a failed System Restore (SR) are down to some Antivirus applications, so disable your security software then try, also boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) and try SR from there.
