    Hi

I have a problem inasmuch as none of my system restore points work. They show up on the calendar but after restarting my pc says it was unable to complete the task.
I have three quarters of my hard drive space free and 2% is allocated to restore points.

Whilst I have been having this problem some of my software also appears to have become corrupted.

My PC is Windows XP (OS 2).
I run AVG, Spybot, Ad-Aware regularly.

    Many thanks

Try increasing the space allocated to restore points to 5%

Try to restore in safe mode.
Disconnect from the net and disable AVG.
To disable AVG Open AVG interface> Double click Resident Shield> Uncheck RS active option.
Restore the system and enable AVG before connecting to the net...Cheers...

Edit to add: For software corruption, do you have your XP CD or the OEM CD.

    Thanks for your reply

I did as you suggested Sikvik but it didn't work. I was still unable to use System Restore.

It might be worth noting that looking through my AVG scan history there were these 2 entries, which may be relevant:(see attachment)

    Hoping you can help

Its most likely the System Volume Information folder one.
