System Restore

    My System Restore will not let me make new restore points.Can anyone assist me?Windows xp home sp3.

    What message does it give you?

    If you don't need existing restore points you could try turning system restore off, rebooting and then turning it back on.

    1. Make sure the service is running
    Open Administrative Tools, click Computer Management, and then click Services and Applications. Click Services, and double-click System Restore Services from the list. Verify the service is started and running. If not, under Service status, click Start and change the startup type to Automatic.

    2. You need more than 200MB od hd space left. Check how much free space you have on your hard drive.
