System Restore

Oh dear, what a pickle. I took my notebook to get my bluetooth sorted and it come back without the system restore. I tried to go back and get this sorted but that is where these problems just get compounded. I live in Thailand and despite the Thai staff having okay English, they are playing the thick role and to be frank there is nothing I can do!!
Also when my notebook came back they took of my Kaspersky but I downloaded it again(legit copy) and now it keeps asking to be repaired but doesn't allow me to do it!!!

Can anyone help me? It's pointless taking it to someone else as this will just get worse not better.

Hi sorted in a different, but better way. The main company who sold me the notebook have replaced it with a better model and as a goodwill gesture they have allowed me to buy a 16,000 baht tower for only 6,000.
This is far too long winded to tell you the full story, but the initial problem was caused by a virus on an external hard drive I bought from them.

But now I have a different question, what programs should a new PC have? I have Kaspersky and uniblue, not convinced that uniblue is that great though. But I there an ideal 'software' pack?

 

Wow great deal. New upgraded lappy and a tower worth 480USD for a 180USD! Have you checked out the tower and it's specks??!!!

WOT goes all multi coloured when I searched for Uniblue. So I doubt It to be a credible software

Both the above are free ware/ scanners only. You can upgrade to any ONE's paid version as long a your build of Kas AV does not offer spyware protection

Run the program - locate and uninstall Uniblue. It will prompt you to clean up the registry remnants, do so. Remember only to select/check the highlighted entries and finish up.

If you feel the need to tweak your system let us know.
