    Hi all!

I have a Windows Server 2003 machine and I (infrequently) get the
"System Shutdown" window with a limit of 60 second before shutting down.

Of course, I do the "shutdown -a" command to abort this.

I thought it was a Sasser thingy and I downloaded the Sasser Removal Tool
and I did an in-depth analysis with NOD32 without getting anywhere!

It's really important because this machine is responsible for backups
and it gets interrupted every time this thing happens while I'm out.

    What do you suggest?

    I would appreciate any help.

First- Welcome to Major Geeks! :D
Second- I'm not very familiar w/ Server 2k3, so this may not be of much help: but if this is a recent problem, try System Restore to shortly before the problem started; check your event viewer and look up any error code ID #'s at Microsoft's knowledge base; maybe go to the command prompt and type "sfc /purgecache" followed by "sfc /scannow" w/o the prompts. You may need your Windows installation CD for the "/scannow".... Hopefully someone with more insight into the workings of Server 2k3 will come along and be of more help... good luck!
