When I have the check box marked to fix error upon boot up the app states that another operation is taking control and that it can check for error but not fix them. It asks if I would like to schedule a repair. How can I fix this to work properly and what app is causing the problem on WINIXPRO.Thanks

If I understand your post (Welcome to MajorGeeks!!)
    This is a normal message..
WinXP (and NT and 2000 for that matter) hold exclusive rights to many files and the harddrive itself... This is part of the built in security of XP...
You can schedule the repair and it will run the next time you reboot before WinXP takes over your drive..

as for the error... it is kind of normal (scary, eh?) to have errors..
files are miss reported in the meta table files get misplaced...
They are not a big deal.....
SW will work just fine..... there are built in utilities too, like WinXP checkdisk among others, but SystemWorks is easy to work with...

Does this answer your question?? I hope so..
Post back if I am way off base

Instinctively I had a feeling that this was a normal process however, I just wanted to make sure. Thanks and have a great day!
