"tab recovered"

    CatT I can't follow the rules

    What triggers this cursed thing?

    I'm using IE8 these days, and at least once a week w/e I'm working on crashes, only to be replaced by "tab recovered". It is *slightly* helpful only insofar as it reminds me of what was in that tab (Hotmail as opposed to MG forum as opposed to iTunes as opposed to...), but if I happen to actually be DOING anything (typing a post, for example), THAT much is not "recovered".

    In the days of a simple crash, I had a fighting chance of rescuing my post using backspace. This meaningless "recovery" stage has put an end to that.

    Multiple things and mainly out of date plugins or toolbars like Flash, Shockwave, Java, Google toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, to also plugins from your antivirus, spamblockers, adblockers etc

    To test run IE in No-Addons mode and see if its OK.
