TACORE.msi

Hello. I am new at this and although I can work on general issues, this one has me stumped. I helped a friend who had Earthlink which is my server, but EMBARQ took over and instructed her to delete Earthlink. Well we did and now a message on trying to find TACORE.msi keeps popping up. It won't let us reload Earthlink, it won't let us even hook back into the net to search for answers. Shoot, it won't even let her play a non-internet game! Any suggestions? By the way, I did chat with Earthlink and they said we would have to call EMBARQ as they are not involved with the customer per EMBARQ...hmmm?

 

From my understanding and reading what Chaslang has posted in this thread http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86432 Earthlink are who needs to be addressing this for you.

You perhaps need to go back to them and be a little more persuasivel now you have factual information at your fingertips

 

You could try running the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility here http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459

Just look for any Earthlink or TotalAccess entries and remove them. Apparently the TA software comes with alot of stuff that "might" be running in the background, you may have to uninstall it in safe mode then retry the install.
