They actually make them look stupid on purpose,they've tried it many times before,Toyota designed a Prius that looked like normal car and sales dropped off . The psychology behind it is the people that buy them want everyone else to know they have an electric car or a hybrid so its obvious they are ahead of the curve and saving the planet,if they are gonna punish themselves with terrible performance from an electric car then everyone that passes them on the M1 at 40mph is gonna know why.:-D

Perhaps this is why they look like this but whenever I see one of those cars I always think... "wow, what an ugly car!" not "wow, they are saving the environment!" :-D

It seems you can make a decent looking hybrid car but you have write HYBRID is extra large letters along the side to let everyone know how you roll :-D

Just speak for the other side of the coin there are some pretty ok hybrids out there now,I know Honda a has a Civic that has exactly the same body as the standard Civic but they are still far from good looking,very Grandpa-ish.

Which is a pretty amazing achievement when there's 300% or so disparity in the price of either the Maserati or Aston with the Tesla.
