taking videos with phone

My nokia6120 take mpeg-4 videos qvga 320x240
This spy pen http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/products/6151908/8G_30fps_CCTV_Spy_Pen_Recorder_DVR_Video_Camera_1280_960_usb_pen_driver.html take avi. video with 1280x960 but the videos i think dont look better, why? i can check the avi. files in proprieties and there is "1280x960".

But mpeg-4 are better than .avi?
So why the pen have not more clarity? the movies with it have too bad colors, comparative with the phone

 

Well, let's see. We have a $41.00 camera the size of a pen and made in China. Any you're surprised that the quality is not great??:confused The lens is way tiny for starters, so it's light gathering ability will not be great. As for the electronics - who knows. you can have high res, but if the optics and electronics are junk, it won't help much.
