Talking Alarm Clock Will Not Install

I've been using Cinnamon Software's Talking Alarm Clock on my W7 PC, and I've been trying to install it on my new W10 without success. I get an "invalid digital signature" message shortly after the installation starts. Trying Cinnamon's support does not help, since it seems their server has been down for some time. I've also tried Compatibility mode without success. AND, Even though it's already installed in my W7, I thought I'd try installing it there again just to see what happens and I now get the same error as on my W10 PC. I've followed online instructions on bypassing digital signature requirement, but I still get the message.
Any ideas out there?

A:If no signed driver exists, and you are aware of the risks in using unsigned drivers, (accepting responsibility for any problems it causes,) there is a Policy setting available to turn off the requirement.
Click start, and type gpedit.msc
ENABLE the option for code signed drivers at:
User Config/Admin Templ./System/Driver installation
then set the drop box to "Ignore"

this was win7.
i would think windows10 should have something similar.
