task bar and destop icons have gone!!

I have truly had enough now it has driven me mad since I came home from a 12 hour shift to find that my comp had gone nuts and the taskbar and desktop icons had vanished, I ran AVG and spyware doctor which picked up on some trojan files and said it had remoed them however I still have no task bar or icons and its really quite annoying, they stay on for about 3mins when you start the system and then just vanish over time, would be great if someone could help as I have really no idea what I am doing so it's prob best I dont start deleting things...... I have a hijack this log but not sure where to post it new to all this. Thanks x:cry
