    Hi Friends,

The other day my taskbar (which I keep on top of screen) doubled itself and started putting long icons of the pages I have open. I can have 8-9 pages open at a time and this really goofed things up for my searching etc.. It also brought my Gadwin Screen Shot up to the top when I normally keep it on the bottom. Please not that this is not the icon but the work bar that shows up when I open the program.

I have no idea what I hit but I hit something, and I don't like the taskbar taking up so much real estate on the top of my screen. I have the setting on small icons and checked to see if it still was, and it still is.

    Thanks Magoo

No one could possibly need so many taskbar icons. All you need to do is remove those that aren't necessary. When your icons can fit on one row it will revert to normal.

    Hi Eearthling and all,

I have had even more icons on the top of my screen (it is a 24" monitor) and never had a problem with icons. I didn't add any others, but did remove some to see if it would move up but didn't. Also if you look at the second SS you will see that it is now adding the sites I am on to itself with long icons which really take up room in the taskbar.

    Thanks for responding:)

Go to Taskbar properties. In the "Taskbar buttons:" selection box choose - "Always combine, hide labels"

    Hi Imandy Mann and all,

I did as you suggested and did have to check "Always combine icons but when I checked the task bar I had no change. Then I tried the simplest thing I could have and didn't think of because it was too easy. I put the mouse on the bottom of the bar and pushed up. Done deal, all fixed, years ago I would have just done this right away. I also would have know to re-lock the Taskbar when working with it. This getting old stuff is for the birds.

    Thanks for the help...
