taskbar icon and popup messages

    i had a virus thats poping out and have an icon on the taskbar and i think it installed a ant virus program and its exe is xpupdate.exe is this normal???
    and if its normal i have another problem i have a program called kernel88.exe and i heared that its a trojan and also somethings disable-ing my taskmanager but i know how to enable it...
    do i have to post logs???

    where's the edit button on this forum???
    ok um uh..its kernels88.exe withs "s" and what i ment by taskbar icon its trayicon and im running on another partion and its drive D:\ so here's the logs on scans..its destroying my pc and i can't use the internet it also changes the logging in way!!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

    The Edit button is only visible for 5 minutes after posting a message. After that time frame. Edits are no longer allowed and those the button is gone. You would see the below while editing is allowed.

    You need to run all steps in the READ ME in the order given and then attach all the requested logs. It appears that at a minimum you skipped the below:
    - CounterSpy
    - BitDefender Online Scan
    - PandaActiveScan online scan

    After running these attach the below new logs (yes you have to attach new copies of what you already attached because those logs should have been obtained after running the above tools).
    • CounterSpy
    • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis
