on my first i found that it got numb after the first 15min and i couldnt feel much, it sure doesnt feel like needles though i think it feels like a burning sensation kind of like someone giving you a smiley (burning you with a lighter for those who dont know what a smiley is) with a lighter that never cools down.

My friend has one on the tip of her nose..ouch....she passed out once the guy had finished



pinch the tip of your nose and just see how much that hurts then imagine how much it would hurt if you had a needle doing it

 

the tricep peice is my first name in chinese calligraphy script. (not standard formal chinese). the forearm peice is "peace love soul" in japanese. it's a saying me and my 2 best friends, dave and antoine, came up with in college. we use it as a greeting or way of saying goodbye. the last is an egyptian tribal of the eye of horus. i've always been fascinated with hieroglyphics but wanted something that really stands out and i found this back in august.

Embrya, the hyrogliphic/ tribal one is sweet , I have always liked tribal type art as well as Celtic. I think the egyption theme fits perfect with the tribal.
when i finally get the cash, well more the perfect idea, I would like to add somthing along that line to add to my alien..Something ancient...we all know they have been here before!

thanx! but i paid way too much for that damn thing in germany. and it's not like in the states where u can just walk into most tat shops and get inked. i went to about 5-6 shops and they were all talkin about makin appts blah blah....
just in case anyone was wondering it's the eye of horus and a pharoah (this part is obvious but not many ppl know about the eye of horus)

Since I am no fan of posting my own pictures, I searched and found an almost exact match of the tattoo that I have on my left forearm.

I almost had my ex's(at that time current) bf's name tattooed on the forearm but at the last minute IDK how I had a change of heart and got this one done. Now Im ever so glad I never got his name tattooed, else Id have been looking for ways to remove it!!

For those that want to know, I think my back piece took in the neighborhood of 70 hours to do. I'm not really sure to tell the truth. I just went into my tattoo artists studio, once a month and got tattooed for a couple of hours.

Every month, for 4 and a half years or so. And before anyone asks, I have no idea how much money I spent, and I am quite sure that the money could have been spent better some were else. And to tell the truth, I will probably start getting tattooed again once a lose a bit more weight.

 

"more room to work with!" is what I was told by a guy whos been doin tats for over 30 years.....why argue?!......lol And by what I seen, your really not that big.....so where ya gonna lose it?

 

only 30mins till i get my Tattoo eeek!

I agree completely that nothing is worse then giving birth . . . I watched both my sons being born . . . and I decided that I would rather be swallowing razor blades in hell then going through what my wife did.

. . . that whole process just doesn't seem like it should work . . .

 

lol....i would even volunteer to swallow razor blades in hell if it got me out of child birth...but even though nothing hurts as bad, NOTHING gives you that amazing joy in your heart when you hold your baby for the first time its the best.

will post tattoo very soon but its a bit red I'm just waiting till my hubby gets home to take a good pic of it will be soon.

I have 3 tattoo's, one Dragon that is on my leg, I saw it on a shirt I had, and thought it would be an awesome first tat, exciting right? Anyhow, one of my girlfriends and I were going to get (matching) Chinese symbols commemoration different parts of our relationship, for example, love marriage, eternity. We made it to love, and broke up, so my third tat was the Chinese symbols for hate.

Since I don't have a picture of my tat's, I'm posting a picture of an eclipse that my tattoo guy airbrushed. the car sold for something like $75,000.

well here they are guys the the first one is the one i got today it says "I love you mum to da moon 'N' back" (its something my mum has said to me all my life and seems as she is truly sick i thought it might cheer her up)

the second is a carebear ive had that for a while but the tattooist who did it was a newie and kind of stuffed it up so im getting that fixed up shortly.

and the third is just to show you where i have them both although i ummed and aaahhhed whether to post this photo seems as it makes me look really fat, althought that could be coz i am...lol

I'm sorry to hear your mother is ill! I hope it isn't serious. I know how helpless it feels when a loved one is sick.

Nice tattoos, Brooke! I must admit a fascination for them, but have yet to get one myself . . . come close a few times, but always balked on what design I wanted. Tatts are forever (sort of). Almost got one of my (X) wife once while still married . . . and that would have been a sore spot (no pun intended) with my present wife . . . lol

lol....lucky you didn't get it would of been very hard to explain to the new wife i know if my hubby had his x's name on him i would hate it.

just keep searching til you find the right one for you coz it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of it coz your the one that has to live with it for the rest of your life not them, both my tattoos have meaning so i will never regret them which i think all tattoos need, but that's only my opinion.

Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life. That has to be one of the most intimate and deep, soul-felt reasons I have ever heard for getting a tat. She must be a very special lady (and blessed to have found you!).

This Tattoo is on my wifes lower back. It's a drawing of a porcelain cherub statue that she keeps in her cabinet. The banner across the lap is our wedding date.

I have her initials tattooed across my ring finger in a band and the date between the first and second knuckle of the ring finger.

 

Lev, you are one of the few here that actually know how much my wife means to me. I know you remember all those horrible days during the diagnosis of her illness. Yes, she means everything to me and more each and every day. I want to make sure that EVERYONE knows that.

I am so sorry, Brooke. I lost a brother a few years ago to cancer, and I know how painfull it is to watch a loved one struggle with a serious ailment. It just doesn't seem fair or right that such things happen. God be with you and yours.
