sorry to hear about your brother it sucks....but i guess the saying must be true ("0nly the good die young")

mum is a real fighter, but she doesn't look like she can go on much longer i cant imagine the pain that's going to hit when that day comes.

i truly hope that you are coping well with the loss of your brother (well as good as possible)

thank you for your kind words and i truly hope that god be with you and yours always too.

@ Jack:- Thanks for sharing those personal and moving thoughts. Yes I do remember the 'bad old days' when your wife was sick. True love is very special take care.

@ Brooke:- Nice new tat. May I offer my condolences for your mom. I can only hope that her transition from this world to the next is a peaceful one. Lost my mom @ five, and my dad four years back, also walked the walk with the cancer thing personally, so, to an extent, I know how you feel.

@Nakatel: Sorry about your bro', too man. Life sure aint easy for a lot of us.

On side note. It’s 11/11 today. Not only is it Remembrance Day for ex-servicemen, like myself, but the 26thAniversary of my marriage. Not that I've seen her for the last four and a half years or so. Maybe one day, I'll fond peace.<*Sigh> :(.

Re: "At least it wasn't a bar code". Well, it may as well had been. It served about the same function.:p

British Special Forces (Rhodesia/Zimbabwe '79). It was R.S.N. (Regimental Serial No.). When our job involved UXO/UXB/mine removal, amongst other ‘duties’, I guess there was good reason for it, since the KIA/MIA/WIA ratio was the highest of any unit, and the results not always pretty.

I term it 'ancient history', nowadays (yep, I was only 21).

Thanks. Now you know why I don't comment much, if at all in the political/war threads. Some of us HAVE walked the walk, regardless of the official reasons. Enough said.
