tdsskiller update stops Internet Explorer

Every time I try to update tdsskiller Internet Explorer stops working before the update can be downloaded. Any ideas of how to get around this?

Also every time I run tdsskiller I am told I must restart my computer to install a needed driver. I did this once, but I just bypass this step now.

 

I am using tdsskiller as part of my periodic anti-malware scans. My computer shows no signs of malware, but I do these scans as a preventive measure.

In order to use a different browser for updates I could make Firefox my default browser, which I don't want to do, or I could go to the tdsskiller website using Firefox and try to get an update, not a complete program download, from there. I was hoping someone could tell me why Internet Explorer cannot handle the update downloads. This is the only update download that causes this problem.

 

Going to the tdsskiller website I discovered no way to download the update I wanted. So clicking on the link that the program gave for the update I copied the link into Firefox and downloaded and installed the update.

I get a message from the program announcing an available update and click on the link provided. This link activates Internet Explorer by default which promptly stops working. This problem is solved by using Firefox as I described above.
