watched this film last night and wondered if anyone else had. thought it was a very funny piss take of american politics. its a puppet type film along the lines of 'international rescue'. dont be fooled into thinking its a childrens film. it shpould have been 'X' rated (or 'R' in the US.) presumably you can show puppets doing things you cant show people doing. i got the feeling it was written by the same people that do 'south park', but i dont know. its that kind of humour though. any comments please. aloha laurie

 

I tried to watch it and couldn't get thru more than 20 mins of it. Some parts were pretty funny, but I just couldn't get past the whole puppet thing.

i thought it got funnier and funnier the further it went and the more irreverent it got. im glad the video shop warned me not to let my son watch it though. aloha

 

what rating was it? I didnt really like it that much... then again, i was watching a pretty poor version of it.

Just seemed a bit of a waste of time, when there was lots of decent stuff out =/ - the only reason i could take the south park movie is because it was a musical!

 

its says 'unrated'. but i dont know if that is supposed to mean 'worse that 'R', or what.

I watched the trailer on TV yesterday...that was enough for me

 

I watched it some time ago, and wasn't that impressed. I used to like Thunderbirds as a kid, but like you said, it was more South Park style.

It was kinda funny in parts, but relied on the 'smut' factor too heavily, i.m.o. To be honest I fell asleep about two thirds of the way through it. I guess it served some purpose, then.

 

The first 5 minutes were so funny that i thought i was going to have to get up and leave !!!!

But I have to agree that some of the so called comedy got old after a while.

well thanks for all the reviews. as i said , i did think it was funny. feel slightly guilty about finding such violence and smut amusing, but it was very cleverly done. I'm not surprised to find it is indeed the south park writers who created it. i don't often watch south park, but it can also be very funny and astute. (i think its got 'stale' over time). much aloha everyone.

 

Thought it was great and gonna shoot out to get the DVD asap.
Think it's rated 15 in UK.
