Teamviewer has stopped working on my LAN after MS November updates, both Win 10 and Win 7 systems affected. Haven't updated Win 8.1 yet but am about to.

    Anyone else got TV probs?

Looks as if MS, deliberately or otherwise, has crippled Teamviewer with the November updates as it won't even let me reinstall it. I use TV all the time and can't tolerate this. I'm reverting all systems to pre-November updates and turning automatic updates off for the time being. Never had an issue with WU like this previously. :(

Not only TV but also chunks of MS Office :major well done MS :)

KB3097877 is at the root of most of it, uninstall it (until they patch and re-release it) and install the others for safety - also update Flash and other plugins ASAP, that KB was mainly to fix some active drive by exploits!

Thanks for that satrow. Certainly a lot of mayhem being reported this morning, all down to KB3097877 it appears. The real issue will be with Win 10 which doesn't give users the choice of not installing particular updates. Imaging each system each month after we're happy it's OK has proved its worth this month. All four systems were restored to pre-update status in about 15 minutes.

Looks as if KB3097877 has been withdrawn. The latest list of available patch Tuesday updates does not include it so either they've withdrawn it for later reissue or they've reissued it under a different KB.

The updated version was released around 8 hours ago, check that it isn't unchecked/marked as optional - I heard that was what they did for a while before the 'fixed' version was uploaded.

For anyone that does have the dodgy version installed, WU should now offer them the new version, at least, that's what I read.

Where you are comes into this. Here in the UK patch Tuesday is always patch Wednesday for me. But I now seem to have the updated version on all Win 7 and 8.1 systems - well, Teamviewer is working again anyway rolleyes Doesn't appear in Win 8 but something stopped TV on it, though it's OK now.
