Tech deals selection

Interesting Links (most post deals here) or Buy Sell Trade (the Buy bit is apt for deals).



So sadly no I dont on this occasion to a new forum area and resoning why, is that the question was asked a year or so ago about new forum areas folk would like to see, many where implimented, but after the initial two weeks of use, they became un-used, and only used as mods/admins do move threads into many of those areas (not that I'd like to be doing that all the time as its too time consuming).


So its likely to become another un-used area, yeah many will reply to my post saying "oh yes we will use it" but further down the line any post that could have gone in that section will end up all over the place. With many deals they are finite and end in days or weeks, so you'd end up with a whole load of users posting in a thread "this offer finished weeks/months/years ago", plus it would be a spam magnet, to those trying to sell their junk.

Plus too many forum areas looks messy, all thats needed is a core set of forum topics that are well used, I would also be more likely if someone posted 1000 and 1 threads on deals they just searched over a few well chosen and interesting deals, be thinking spammer and postcount building! ..... I know I could find around 20 offers and deals from today i was looking at, but not all would be apt for everyone, so think in honesty this is something you start searching for when you are about to buy something and then search for a deal yourself.


Good thought and keep them coming, but for me this one is not a winner as we already have the areas above and Buy Sell Trade is the better one for this as at least the admin team can approve them before they are shown, as to weed out junk.
