Hey I am try to roll my own 'repair CD' in the Linux variety. I've used Bart PE, but since Windows is a licensed product and I may want to distribute this, I am trying Linux. It's in its infancy right now, I have managed to creat a disk with TeamViewer and Avast on it. I have had better luck with Suse accepting packages, but less luck on booting it with different hardware and better luck booting Ubuntu and less luck adding packages.. so I am half way to something, I hope.

Idea is right now for friends and relatives support. Anyhoo, I was looking for suggestions on tools to include? ddrescue, calmav, safecopy...

Also has anyone used (i think these a Linux based) BootMed or FixMeStick?

Just wanted to see what anyone thought.

Personally not with these repair tool disks and I would really want the likes of Window Installer Clean-up Tool, Ccleaner, Malwarebytes etc on if possible in a fix disk.

I'd suggest looking at other repair distros to see what sorts of things they include. I just use a Basic Linux CD that I made to install for someone. Mostly I just use the included tools, though they aren't always up to the task of defeating a real virus.
